Air Engineering® Valve Repair Procedures
Air Engineering® takes great pride in all of the valve repair work that we perform. As with all products we supply, all of our valve work is 100% warranted for one year against defective materials and workmanship. We follow the following steps to insure complete customer satisfaction and quality workmanship:
1. INITIAL INSPECTION - Air Engineering® will first identify any broken components which may indicate other operational problems which need to be addressed by the customer.
2. COMPLETE CLEANING - Air Engineering® uses the latest state of the art cleaning processes. We select the procedure that is best suited for the particular application.
3. MAGNETIC PARTICLE TESTING - This process helps us to identify any hairline cracks that may exist on the seats or guards. This helps us to insure that further work is done only on structurally sound components. If damaged components are discovered, the customer is notified and asked for further instructions.
4. DIMENSION RESTORATION - All components that are not in tolerance with proper dimensions are sent for corrective action. Parts not in tolerance will either be repaired or replaced, as is appropriate.
5. MACHINING - The valve guards and seats are machined to the compressor manufacturer's specifications, for the ultimate in operating efficiency. Any spring pockets are milled if needed. All gasket surfaces are then restored. All parts are checked in order to insure that they meet minimum thickness tolerances.
6. ASSEMBLY - All dimensions are verified again as final assembly takes place.
7. LIQUID TESTING - This is the final test for a valve rebuild project. This test allows us to check for leaks between the seat and guard, ports, or bolts.
8. PRESERVATION FOR STORAGE - Air Engineering takes great pride in our packaging. All valves are treated with an environmentally safe rust preventative. We use the same product that is approved and used by the United States Navy.
10. LABELING AND IDENTIFICATION - We know the value of proper labeling. Every part that leaves Air Engineering® bears the proper part number. We will also perform any special labeling that the customer requests at no additional charge. Simply let us know what you need.
11. EXPEDITED SERVICE - If you need extra quick turn around on your valve rebuild, let us know and we will expedite the process.
